January 27, 2012

It’s time again to join Hilary over at Feeling Beachie for some Follow Friday Four Fill in Fun. Each week she posts four blank statements for us to fill in on our own blogs. She is always looking for new statements and if she chooses yours, you’ll be her co-host for the hop. So, come join the fun!

This weeks statements:

  1. Nothing is better than____________.
  2. I___ my___in____ but never________.
  3. Those______that are always______make me want to___________.
  4. My favorite_____ is when______.

My answers:

  1. Nothing is better than that first sip of steaming, hot coffee in the morning.
  2. I like to walk my dogs in the morning but never at night.
  3. Those recipes that are always so complicated, make me want to throw something. (I usually resist the urge and just change it to suit my needs!!! 🙂 )
  4. My favorite time to read is when the kids are in bed and the house is quiet and calm.

I totally agree with #4! That is when I enjoy my reading too. Blogging early in the morning and reading at night is my routine, unless hockey decides to mess with my schedule.

I do a lot of my blogging in the morning, too… but lately it’s been whenever I get the chance. With my 3 year old underfoot I can’t always get to it. 🙂

  • Brenda January 27, 2012 at 11:09 am

LOL… I always change recipes to suit me!

    • Susi January 27, 2012 at 9:38 pm

It’s the name of the game. As long as we enjoy it, it shouldn’t matter how you cooked it!!! 🙂

Oh, it’s Friday! I have yet to do this meme. I am backlogged with other posts, yikes.

I like your answers. And I agree about the complicated recipes!

    • Susi January 27, 2012 at 9:37 pm

I believe cooking should be fun. If it’s too complicated it takes the fun out of it!!!! Good luck catching up. Have a nice weekend. 🙂

I totally agree on #1. I can’t even bother until the first cup!

    • Susi January 27, 2012 at 9:35 pm

Same here. My family knows to stay away from me until every last drop is drained!!!! 🙂

    Number 1, what about a hot cup of tea? ……. : )

    • Susi January 27, 2012 at 9:34 pm

      That’s for night time… 🙂

You could probably guess that I am in complete and total overwhelming agreement with #1. LOL I tend to do my writing for my blog when the house is finally quiet – that includes hubby. which sometimes means my most creative hours are between 11pm and 1 am. Kids are up at 7 am. I am the suffering artiste! ha ha
    (blog is looking fabulous!)

    • Susi January 29, 2012 at 6:51 pm

Thanks. And yes, I do most of my writing when the kids are in bed and hubby is snoring away next to me on the couch. I’m usually in bed by 11. I get up by 6:30 am and if I don’t get 7-8 hrs of shut eye I’m a complete mess the next day!!!! 🙂

Nothing beats AM coffee! I am drinking some now!

    • Susi January 29, 2012 at 6:46 pm

🙂 I am in total agreement.

  • Jennifer January 28, 2012 at 2:06 pm

I am not a fan of complicated recipes either!

    • Susi January 29, 2012 at 6:02 pm

One of our motto’s when it comes to cooking is “Keep it simple, stupid!” 🙂

  • momto8blog January 29, 2012 at 12:39 am

    I love my morning coffee!
    Just added my link..thanks!

    • Susi January 29, 2012 at 6:01 pm

      Me, toooooo… 🙂

I love ending the evening with some reading after the girls are in bed! It is such a calm way to transition to my own bedtime.

I hate cooking anyway, so if a recipe is to complicated I usually just give up.

    • Susi January 29, 2012 at 6:00 pm

Yes, I love reading just before bed. It always calms me… unless I am reading one of my Twilight books yet, again! 🙂 And we love to cook so we will try any recipes we find interesting.

I like nighttime reading as well, and your morning sip of coffee is my morning sip of Diet Coke!

    • Susi January 29, 2012 at 5:59 pm

I could never understand how people drink soda in the morning. How do you do it??? It is not something I could imagine doing… but then again, you may think the same about us coffee drinkers!!!!:)

  • Kristen January 30, 2012 at 9:57 pm

    I love your fill-ins. And… number 3? – so me. But, sometimes I throw the book. 🙂
