I consider myself a fairly patient person.

I roll with the punches and don’t get too frustrated when things don’t go quite as planned.

I can wait without too much trouble for events in the future.

Except, right now my patience is being tested and I feel very impatient.

This shower/bathroom remodel seems to be taking a toll on me.

Maybe it’s because hubby and I have to share the kids bathroom… not a big deal at all, except that it’s not ours.

For me, the bathroom is a sanctuary.

I retreat there for an hour of quiet time at night, soaking in the tub to relax the day away.

That’s not happening right now because my bathtub is full of tools.

After the tile guys left today, I looked to see how far they progressed…

there’s tile and a border on the shower walls, not all the way up yet but it’s there.

There’s also, finally, some tile on the floor.

But it doesn’t seem enough.

Our bathroom isn’t that big…

Maybe, it bothers me that the guys come in the morning around 9,

leave for lunch by 11:30,

come back and finish for the day at 2-2:30.

I expected them to at least work til 5 every day.

That would give them another 3 hours to accomplish stuff.

I know, it’ll be so worth it in the end.

A new, repaired shower that’s not leaking into the laundry room.

And my sanctuary back.

Deep breath and on to another day!

I hope you are patient about getting tea (package sitting on kitchen counter) –it might be there by the time your bathroom is finished!! 🙂 Hopefully before! Remodels and renovations take FOREVER!!!!!!!!! Hope that you can make it till it is done!

Believe me. For that I have all the patience in the world. I think, I’m just annoyed to have the guys underfoot and paper taped over my floor and my house in shambles! 😉

Boy do I ever hear you on that one! I think I would be willing to pay to have more patience. It’s so important to have, yet so difficult to have! Thanks for linking up again this week!

Trying to learn patience in the midst of it all requires commitment and dedication, but it can be done. The numerous benefits make the lesson one worth learning.

I can only imagine… believe me I know once everything is said and done I’ll be happy. And won’t complain anymore, I promise!!! 🙂

It’s funny how I have lots of patience with certain things, and very little with others. And then it also depends a lot on the time of day and how much more I can take =) But I can sympathize with how you’re feeling with your bathroom. Hopefully the end product will make it all worth it for you!
