Fill in fun and a weekend getaway…

September 13, 2012

Another week almost over.

So glad this one is almost behind us.

If I wasn’t so tired I would let out my little rant.

I will write up a little post about my week… later.

It wasn’t all bad.

And this weekend should be interesting and fun.

Hubby and I are heading to Orlando for the Central Florida Blog Conference this weekend — sans kids.

My mom is coming over to watch them for us.

Thank you, mommy. We really appreciate it… I know you’ve been working like crazy.

I’m excited to meet some new bloggy friends and to see my friend Nicolette again.

Every time we’ve seen each other we’ve really hit it off and can just sit and talk for hours.

I’m also looking forward to learning new things and to broaden my horizons.

And lastly, there looks to be some awesome food to be had while in Orlando.

Hubby and I are meeting with an old friend for dinner both Friday and Saturday…

I’ll be sure to share my experiences with you guys when I get back!!!

Time to join my lovely  friend Hilary for some fill in fun.

Each week, Hilary plans on listing four statements with a blank for you to fill in on your own blogs. If you want to join the fun and come up with four fill in’s of your own, please email them to her at If she uses them, she will add you as co-host to the hop! This week’s co-host is Annie from the Lemon Drop – She came up with the last two statements

Hilary would LOVE it if you could please help her spread the word about this hop…. So, please tweet, FaceBook share, and add the linky to your post…

This week’s statements:

1. I like to __ when I am ___
2. ___ is my favorite vegetable
3. I get ________ when I ___________.
4. I’m surprised by _________ and ____________.

My answers:

1. I like to snuggle in bed and read when I am not feeling good.

2. Carrots and peas mixed is my favorite vegetable. (This one was tough… I like so many different veggies.)

3. I get super excited and happy when I take out my camera lately.

4. I’m surprised by the way some people run their companies and wonder how they stay around.

I am starting to really enjoy photography too. It is an enjoyable hobby.

I do enjoy it a lot and hope to make it into more than a hobby!!! 🙂

I used to wonder about businesses to, until the company I worked for filed for bankruptcy. Then I realized, it does catch up with you. Have a great weekend!

    • Susi September 16, 2012 at 10:34 pm

I hate to say it but I hope it does catch up with one particular company. Not a happy customer here, unfortunately!!! 🙁

I’ve been dabbling with photography too – it’s almost addictive.

    • Susi September 16, 2012 at 10:33 pm

You can say that again. I’ve been reading so many tutorials and practicing and such. I love my camera I have now but really want a Canon Rebel EOS.

I love reading in bed as well and I don’t have to be sick. Reading the bathtub is also a great place.

    • Susi September 16, 2012 at 10:30 pm

Yes, reading in the bathtub is my absolute favorite thing to do for relaxation! 🙂

  • Lucy September 14, 2012 at 12:13 pm

My camera overwhelms me and I need to take a class or read the book but right now I just snap away and have fun.
It is amazing how some companies muddle along.

    • Susi September 16, 2012 at 10:27 pm

Depending on what type of camera you have I can imagine how it can be over whelming. When I first got mine I shoot in Auto only… now I love manual!!! 😉

  • Beckey September 14, 2012 at 1:00 pm

That must mean you are taking some awesome photos! ;0)

    • Susi September 16, 2012 at 10:26 pm

I did take some photos. I don’t think they are awesome though… I pretty much only used my phone even though I had my camera with me! 🙂

  • Jessica September 14, 2012 at 2:03 pm

I totally agree with #4! My husband and used Time Warner when we lived Moscow, Idaho and that is all that was offered where we were located. Needless to say, they have quite the monopoly over there! Their customer service is grotesque and we had many problems with their services!

    • Susi September 16, 2012 at 10:25 pm

I can only imagine. We had the same problem here (with Comcast) but some other companies are coming in… customer service is still a bit outrageous though!

  • Vicki September 14, 2012 at 2:26 pm

I’ve said that very same thing about some companies many times!! It’s mind boggling!
    Here’s Mine

It is. It always surprises me.

  • Kerry Ann @Vinobaby's Voice September 14, 2012 at 4:08 pm

You get an entire weekend away? So jealous!! It would be lovely to bump into you tomorrow 🙂

    • Susi September 16, 2012 at 10:21 pm

Yes, we had a whole weekend and it was just wonderful. I’m sorry we didn’t get a chance to see each other. I kept looking for a red head!!! 🙂

  • Hilary September 14, 2012 at 4:52 pm

#4 made me giggle! lolol Enjoy your weekend!

    • Susi September 16, 2012 at 10:20 pm

I’m glad it made you giggle. Me, not so much!!! 😉

  • Hilary September 14, 2012 at 9:54 pm

    love your number one…

    • Susi September 16, 2012 at 10:19 pm

I should do it more often. Not just when I’m not feeling good! 😉
