Picture Perfect Weekly #31 {For the love of the game}

December 2, 2012

I love to share photos and I love Instagram. I was one happy little blogger when Instagram became available on Android devices. I jumped, no leaped, on that particular social media bandwagon and have developed a new love affair/addiction with it. Because of this love affair I have decided to start my very own weekly link up called… Picture Perfect Weekly!!!
I would love it if you would join me and share the treasures you captured with Instagram/phone camera/any other camera during the past week. I see a lot of fantastic, cute, funny and happy moments every day.

Share just one or many of your pictures and add a small description.

Just paste the badge into your post or sidebar and follow me… quick and simple. You can find me on Facebook, Twitter and of course, Instagram!

I look forward to seeing your treasured moments!!!

I love this time of night. All is quiet. My three monstersΒ  angels are fast asleep and off in dreamland. Hubby is snoring away on the couch. This time of year it’s even better because I get to sit in front of the soft glow of the Christmas tree. I’m happy my family is back together after our weekend adventures. Middle had a great time exploring New York and bonding with Hilary. While the boy, little one and I spent the weekend at my mom’s. There we spent some time with my sister and niece who will be returning to Germany all too soon and also had the chance to go to a hockey game.

Here now, some of my most recent Instagram shots…

We had such a blast at the hockey game. The Florida Everblades (the home team) played the Greenville Warriors and won. This was a special event. Every year around this time they have a “Teddy Bear Toss”. Spectators are asked to bring either teddy bears or other stuffed animals to the game. As soon as the Everblades score their first goal the audience starts throwing the stuffed animals on the ice. The stuffed animals get donated to Toys for Tots. I will post more pictures taken with my Nikon D3200 soon.

I love these salt and pepper shakers my mom has. Santa and Mrs. Claus stealing a kiss!!! There’s just something about coming to mom’s house around Christmas time and seeing all her pretty decorations. Makes me feel like a little girl again every time.

Mom made this Advent wreath and this morning we lit the the first candle. I remember that the wreath was one of the only “decorations” we had out until just before Christmas. I loved seeing the candles burn down a little more each week.

Little One remembered that Omi has chalk in the garage. So I had to draw a hopscotch pattern for her. We had lots of fun being silly and jumping around.

Snuggles with mommy are the best. Little One hid in bed under her covers because she needed a little break from her 18 months old cousin. Toddlers can be a lot of work!

On the way home we stopped by John Stretch Memorial Park on the edge of Palm Beach County by Lake Okeechobee (the big lake in the middle of Florida). For going 13 years we’ve been driving by there a few times a year and never once stopped. Today, the sun was shining, we were in no rush to get home, so I decided to stop. This picture was taken from the Herbert Hoover Dam.

And this? When did this happen? My little boy. My first born. He’s not so little anymore. Here he is ready for his band performance for the school’s holiday show. So proud of my not so little trumpet player!

Lastly another self-portrait. I don’t wear much make-up generally. A little mascara. A little lip-gloss. A little concealer. I’m good to go. But sometimes it’s fun to pull out a few more stops and primp.

There you have it, peeps. What about you? Got any pics you’d like to share? Please, please do… I want to see!!! πŸ™‚

Hope everyone has a great week.

xo, Susi

Loved all the photos this week. It is so funny to think of Hockey in Florida though πŸ™‚ And what a beautiful shot of yourself at the end.

Sorry to have linked up late this week. I always check on Saturday and when I did this week – your post wasn’t up yet πŸ™ For some reason I still have issues with your site on my Google reader. I am going to try to resubscribe now that you updated your site graphics and see if that works!

Kate, no worries about the “late” link-up it’s open until Friday. Hockey is actually fairly big here. We have the Florida Panthers very close by and they are a pretty big team! πŸ™‚ Also, I didn’t get my post up til Sunday due to traveling. If you follow my FB page you’ll get the updates more regularly!!! πŸ™‚
