Picture Perfect Weekly #32 {Decoration Edition}

December 10, 2012

I love to share photos and I love Instagram. I was one happy little blogger when Instagram became available on Android devices. I jumped, no leaped, on that particular social media bandwagon and have developed a new love affair/addiction with it. Because of this love affair I have decided to start my very own weekly link up called… Picture Perfect Weekly!!!
I would love it if you would join me and share the treasures you captured with Instagram/phone camera/any other camera during the past week. I see a lot of fantastic, cute, funny and happy moments every day.

Share just one or many of your pictures and add a small description.

Just paste the badge into your post or sidebar and follow me… quick and simple. You can find me on Facebook, Twitter and of course, Instagram!

I look forward to seeing your treasured moments!!!

I’m way behind this week. Usually, I have this up and running late Saturday night. Not so much this week. Part of the reason is that I didn’t take too many Instagram pics this past week and part of it is that I was too tired at the end of the day to deal with it. I’ve been in the downey dumps lately and just feeling blah.

But. It’s a new day, a new week and that means up and onward with things!!!

So, here are a few of my favorite Instagram shots of the past week.

This is a sight seen few and far between. All three of the kiddos fell asleep on the couch one afternoon last week. The girls had been a little under the weather and I guess, the boy was just too tired. We enjoyed the unexpected quiet!

On December 6 was “Nikolaus Tag” in Germany. I have to admit that this is a tradition I’m not too good of keeping up. I try and then forget again. But my sister was visiting and did the honors. The children were very happy to wake up to some treat filled shoes!

Saturday night was the first night of Hanukkah and we went to dinner with hubby’s grandma. I wore a dress for the occasion. Grandma kept remarking how she didn’t realize I was so beautiful because I was wearing a dress. Guess, I don’t look beautiful on any other given day!!! 😉

After dinner I arrived home to find the boys jamming together. Seems the boy is really developing his interest in playing guitar. It was nice to see them together like this!!!

We’ve been walking the dogs around the neighborhood at night to see all the lights and decorations. This one is Middle’s favorite. It’s just so huge!

On Saturday afternoon I finally got my butt in gear to put up the outside decorations and lights. I love decorating inside the house and putting up the tree but outside is almost an afterthought. I love having the lights up but I just dislike the work, I guess. I’m pretty happy with the results after sweating in the sun for an afternoon!

I also did some baking this weekend. Little One was at the neighbor’s house yesterday afternoon so I decided to break out the baking stuff and do some baking on my own for a change. I made eggnog cupcakes with a vanilla-rum-nutmeg cheesecake frosting. I really like the way they came out but the kids are not as impressed as usual. Not enough chocolate, I guess!!! 🙂 Oh well, more for mommy. Good thing, I started doing Pilates again! 😉

There is one more picture I wanted to share but will save it for Allison’s and Galit’s Memories Captured link up. So stay tuned!!!

Baking cupcakes that the kids won’t gobble up but you will is actually quite brilliant. 😉 That snowman outdoor decoration is GIGANTIC! Love that shot of the kids sleeping. (And you are beautiful.)

I find it so awesome that you talk about sweating outside in the sun while putting up your outdoor Christmas lights…..and Left Brain and I have to come back inside our house every few minutes because we can’t feel our fingers anymore!! LOL But it all just looks fabulous…..and so do you!!

    • Susi December 11, 2012 at 7:13 am

Isn’t that just funny? I was thinking about that as I was writing the post! I really have no place to complain, do I??? 🙂

    • Susi December 11, 2012 at 7:12 am

      I will. It’ll make her day!!! 🙂

You look beautiful! I love the picture of the kiddies sleeping. Leo’s mom lives in Boca and your pics always remind me of her house there. I wonder if you guys live close. That would be the only reason I’d be excited to go see her in the spring. Maybe we could go out for coffee (or a margarita).

    • Susi December 11, 2012 at 3:53 pm

Ann Marie, I would love to do that. Boca really isn’t it that big! Let me know when you are inbound and we’ll make plans!!! 🙂

How could your kids not be impressed with those delightful cupcakes?? Yum!! I will take their share!

    • Susi December 11, 2012 at 3:57 pm

I really don’t know. But I love them. If it isn’t chocolate they don’t like it!
