Hubby to the rescue… and a few fill ins!

December 14, 2012

I’m late to the party again.

I had grand plans to join Hilary at FeelingBeachie this morning. Get the post out while enjoying my first quiet cup of coffee after dropping the kids off at school.

That was not to be.

Instead, I was not so quietly freaking out after my WP 3.5 update didn’t go so well and I couldn’t access my admin panel.

I had asked my brilliant tech hubby to do a back up of everything so that I could do the update without worrying about screwing something up or worse losing content.

Even though hubby kept warning me not to do it yet as there had been problems reported with the update, I decided to go ahead anyways.

Not. A. Good. Idea.

Good thing, my knight in shining armor came to the rescue and everything was fixed much faster than anticipated.

Thank you, thank you, thank you my darling!!! What would I do without you?

Now without further ado.

Time for the Follow Friday Four Fill In Fun #90!!!

Each week, Hilary plans on listing four statements with a blank for us to fill in on our own blogs. If you want to join the fun and come up with four fill in’s of your own, please email them to her at Hilary(at)feelingbeachie(dot)com. If she uses them, she will add you as co-host to the hop! This week’s co-host is Ali from the daughter-in-law diaries – she came up with the last two statements!

She would LOVE it if you could please help her spread the word about this hop…. So, please tweet, FaceBook share, and add the linky to your post…

This week’s statements:
1. I usually ___ but never ____
2. I was named ___because ___
3. I would never change _______about my body, but I would change _________
4. The last time I said “I Love You” was to _________

My answers:

1. I usually get up at 6:30 AM but never on the weekends!

2. I was named Susan because when my mom was pregnant with me, she was reading one of my grandma’s romance novels and the story had an American girl named Susan in it. (I guess, it was predestined that I would become an American citizen one day!) I had to call my mom just now to find out. Its strange that I never knew this story.

3. I would never change anything about my body, but I would change the way I treat my body and try harder to live a healthful life.

4. The last time I said “I love you” was to my son when I dropped him of at school this morning.

So, there you have it. And isn’t it just wonderful that I learned something new about myself today?

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend.

xo, Susi

P.S. My heart goes out to all of the families and victims of the horrendous school shooting that took place just hours ago in Connecticut. What is this world coming to? It’s one thing when nature decides to hand us a heavy blow, quite another when our fellow man strikes out against us. My mother’s heart is aching right now.

Been flipping back and forth to the news all morning. I don’t know how anyone could do something like this – especially at an elementary school.

It is terrible and senseless. My heart just feels so heavy and sad today to know there is such evil in this world.

How funny that you were never curious about your name before! Yep, learn something new everyday.

    • Susi December 14, 2012 at 11:02 pm

It’s not something I ever really thought about. And when it came up today I was kind of baffled. I’m glad that I know now. 🙂

based on your naming theory…..I am supposed to be a famous actress by now.
hhmmm, something’s gone horribly wrong. LOL

What a good man you got there! Santa will bring him something extra special this year! 🙂

My mother’s heart grieves for all those parents today. And as a neighbour — my heart grieves for all of America that once again as a nation you must face such tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with you tonight.

It is such a horribly tragic thing. I can’t wrap my mind around it. These poor parents and every one else in that community. I held my kids extra close today.

    • Susi December 16, 2012 at 11:10 pm

      Isn’t it weird that I didn’t really have a clue? I’m glad I know now. 😉

  • AnnMarie December 16, 2012 at 1:54 pm

It is on my to-do list to do this hop. I LOVE coming here and seeing your answers. Love that your hubby got things fixed. Glad all is well.

That is so true what you said about natural disasters versus tragedies caused by man.

    • Susi December 16, 2012 at 11:09 pm

Ann Marie, I was super relieved that hubby got things back in working order. I love doing this hop and seeing everyone’s answers! 🙂
