Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out Susi Snaps, I truly appreciate it.
Some of you may remember my old blog BocaFrau which I started more than 6 years ago and was very active on for quite some time. I used to participate in blog hops and made lots of awesome online blog friends. I did all this while I was a stay-at-home mom… Then, things changed. My kids got older and started school. So I went back to work and was lucky enough to find a position at my kids’ school. We leave the house together in the morning and usually come home together in the afternoon. It’s really been great. But because of this full time job, the blog started to “suffer”. I had less time to devote to it but just haven’t been able to completely give it up.
I was also struggling with my blog name. It’s a silly thing but it just didn’t feel like me anymore. So Susi Snaps was born… I discovered my love for photography because I started blogging. I read many Blogging for Dummies books and they all mentioned stories about bloggers getting in trouble because of the pictures they use in their posts and didn’t properly source. So I decided I’d rather not deal with any of that and take my own pictures. One thing led to another and here we are! 🙂
A few things about me:
I’m a wife – to Corey for 16 years, mom, picture taker, memory keeper, quote, tea and nature lover.
I work full-time as a science lab coordinator at my kids school where two of them are in high school (Conner, 17 and Ashley, 14) and one in elementary school (Ally, 9).
I much prefer baking to cooking. Good thing that the hubby loves to spend time behind the stove!!! 🙂 I love to share my recipes and hope you’ll enjoy some of my simple and quick creations.
I love photography and you’ll find that most of my posts will have at least one picture, most of them taken with my phone (currently an iPhone 8 Plus -which I love, love, love) and others taken with my brand new “baby”, my Nikon D7500.
I’m also an avid fan of all things social media and can often be found on…
I was born and raised in Germany, came to the USA with my family at the age of 16 (22 years ago) and finally became an American citizen on Jan. 11, 2012 (which also happens to be hubby’s birthday)!!!
My family and I call (mostly) sunny South Florida home.
If you’d like to get to know me better, keep reading, connect with me on any of the social media channels or simply shoot me a line at
email@example.com – I’d love to get to know you!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by.
I hope, you’ll stay awhile!
