Each week, Hilary at Feeling Beachie plans on listing four statements with a blank for us to fill in on our own blogs. If you want to join the fun and come up with four fill in’s of your own, please email them to her at email@example.com. If she uses them, she will add you as co-host to the hop! This week’s co-host is yours truly! I came up with the last two statements. Hilary can really use co-hosts, so please send some statements her way….
She and I would LOVE it if you could please help her spread the word about this hop…. So, please tweet, FaceBook share, and add the linky to your post…
This week’s statements:
1. I get my best ideas_____
2. When I am ___ I ___
3. When I have a cold, I like to_____
4. Watching a ____ move, can be ______.
Here are my answers:
1. I get my best ideas when I’m about to fall asleep or when I’m in the middle of a good cleaning session.
2. When I am stressed out or nervous I tend to clean like crazy. It calms me down and lets me sort through things in my mind.
3. When I have a cold, I like to eat hot soup and drink herbal tea.
4. Watching a ceiling fan move, can be very relaxing.
Where did the day go? I had plans for a nice post about our 3 day weekend and our day at the big South Florida fair, with pictures of course. Instead, I’m sitting here, trying to figure out where the time went and what I did with it.
After having the kids and hubby home for an extra day and spending family time together, this Hausfrau needed to take care of some household chores… desperately. So, most of my morning I took care of those. Little one and I also spent an hour with our elderly neighbor who we see each day for a cup of coffee!!! After some more laundry and a quick shower it was time to pick up the big kids and head over to the dentist.
The check-up and cleaning went super but took some time since all 3 kiddos had appointments…Little One’s first, she was a trooper and did really well. Hubby ended up surprising us there since he happened to be in the area and we ended up going to dinner at a cute little Greek bistro… Ópa!!! It was delicious.
When we got home it was high time to walk the pooches, get Little One in bed and squeeze in a match of ping-pong. That didn’t go so well… too tired, I think.
Anyhow, so that was my day… no time to write-up my post … but it will come later this week!!! 🙂
I also wanted to take a moment and give a shout-out to Brenda @ Fiction with a Purpose … she was sweet enough to include me in her Tuesday Spotlight and “interview” me. Head on over if you’d like to see what I had to say!!! Thank you, Brenda!!!
So much for the post about our weekend getaway. I really had every intention of posting today but somehow or other the day just slipped away from me. I’m sure it has something to do with having the kids home for another week and hubby on the couch with a cold. It will have to wait until Thursday… tomorrow is Wordless Wednesday and I wouldn’t miss it for the world!!! Got a great pic picked out already. At least I think so… maybe you will like it, too.
Today I got a lot of things around the house done. Laundry, laundry and more laundry, cleaning and straightening and so on… all the stuff that adds up even though we were only gone for 2 nights. Amazing how that happens. I also took down the tree since tomorrow is bulk pick up and I didn’t want the tree up another week. It is a lot less fun taking all the ornaments, garlands and light strings off the tree than it is to put them on. Mainly, because it’s a lonely job… no one wants to help with that task!!!!
The only thing left to do now is take down the outside lights and peel off all the window stickers on the front window. Wonder if I can get middle daughter to help with that? As much as I love decorating for Christmas–I’m always happy to have the house back in order and looking less cluttered.
Even though I didn’t get my intended post out I still got a lot accomplished today. Looking on the bright side!!! 🙂
Do you ever feel like your day runs away from you?
