We spent New Year’s Eve with my mom, just like we have the past few years. As usual, a smorgasbord of goodies was waiting for us. The kids’ favorite (mine as well) was by far the chocolate fondue. I couldn’t stop going back for more and finally had to  clean up and put all the food away. A new tradition may have been born!!!

About the photographs: I love my Santa and Mrs. Claus salt and pepper shakers. They always have a special spot on the dining room table. Recently, I was practicing to get the bokeh effect (the blurred background/light circles from the Christmas tree) with my camera. I was pretty happy with the results as I’m still using the kit lens. And what better subjects this time of year than Santa and his lovely Mrs. Claus?
